I recently came across a blog post about getting rid of clutter and ‘stuff’ in the new year. I’m a huge fan of decluttering so I thought this would be a fun challenge to do with you, my readers. Publicly stating my intentions and goals helps keep me accountable, so this winter I will be writing a weekly post on my progress and inviting you all to join me.
Now, the original challenge appears to be asking the participants to get rid of 3000 things, but I’m not going to put a number on the amount of stuff I want to get rid of. But I am going to set some goals for myself: organize dresser in living room; clean out my closet; declutter spare rooms; clean out garage. If you want to participate, I encourage you to make some goals for yourself too. Each week of the challenge I will be sharing 1 area we can work on collectively, but feel free to declutter whatever you want!
To kick off the challenge, let’s start with the kitchen. Do you have containers without lids? Pitch them! Serving dishes you never use? Donate them! Is there a junk drawer? Clean it out!
Be sure to chime in on social media throughout the challenge! And bloggers, feel free to use the button below!
Let’s make 2016 the year of less stuff! Who’s with me?
