I thought I’d write a different kind of outfit post showing some of my fashion choices from several years ago. I didn’t really have much of a style when I was in middle school, but what twelve year old does (actually, I think now there are a lot more choices for kids then there were 10 years ago!!)?
When I was 15 I started to get compliments on my outfits…unfortunately I was not dressing all that well! Do you remember the emo trend from several years ago? That’s how I dressed…skinny jeans, band tee shirts and floppy hair that I usually cut myself (and later dyed purple then pink). But that was pretty popular where I went to school. I’d like to clarify one thing: I dressed in the emo styles but I NEVER self harmed or considered suicide. I may have been a dramatic teenager, but my life was very good. I won’t be posting pictures of the phase because it’s actually pretty embarrassing. One day I changed my style very drastically and adopted more of a hippy style. This phase lasted for a few years until I started working a real job after college.
Now I think my style is more classic than anything. I love anything feminine and wear a lot of dresses and skirts. I don’t ever follow trends on purpose and I always buy pieces that I LOVE.

Ooooh boy, that sure was a trip down memory lane. I actually really liked the way I used to dress. I think it was young and fun. And can I mention my hair? I dyed it blonde and hot pink when I was 16 and then dyed it almost black to cover up the other colours. The dye faded pretty fast and my hair became super curly and gained a reddish tint that I never had before. A patch of blonde appeared too! My hair was so pretty and long, but then I cut it off after I graduated high school and the curl/colours never came back. But I love my current hair style and colours, so it’s okay:)
