Apologies for missing last week’s memory verse post. I had a migraine that kept coming back all week…not fun! Today I’m sharing a verse that most Christians are familiar with but it is still worth sharing. The start of November brings a fun fashion challenge I created (see details here on Facebook), so I picked Proverbs 31:25 as the verse of the week.
“She is clothed with strength and dignity: she can laugh at the days to come.” What does this verse mean to you? Obviously we can’t open up our closet and take our strength off the hanger, or pull on our dignity, so we can’t literally be clothed in them! I take it to mean we as women should be strong spiritually and emotionally and carry ourselves with dignity at all times. After all, we are made in the image of God and we as Christians represent him every day of our lives in everything we do! The last part of this verse makes me think that this woman is laughing because she knows God’s hand is on her life and she can handle anything that comes her way. So while she may not actually be LOL-ing she doesn’t fear or worry about the future.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this verse! Let me know in the comments or shoot me an e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
