Good Monday morning, friends! Since we are in the Advent season I’m going to be sharing verses about the birth of Jesus with you this month. Some of you may have memorized them already, while others may be hearing them for the first time.
Usually the verses I share are from the New International Version of the Bible, but today I’m sharing the King James Version of Luke 2:14.
What a great verse! Chapter 2 of Luke gives a summary of Jesus’ conception and the events surrounding his birth. Specifically, when an angel appeared to a group of shepherds and told them that a Savior had been born. Then, even more angels came and sang what we read in verse 14. After hearing that, the shepherds left for Bethlehem in search of Jesus the Savior. They found him and then proceeded to tell others what they had seen.
I like this verse so much (and the graphic I created) that I’m going to print it out and display it! You are welcome to do the same by right clicking on it and hitting ‘save’. If you’d like a copy without the Memory Verse Monday banner across the bottom, simply e-mail me and I’ll send it to you.
My prayer is that we are all able to revel in the real meaning of Christmas, and not get caught up in the consumerist trappings that often accompany the season.
I encourage you to take a look at the “related posts” below this one for my list of ways to have a Christ-centered Christmas.
