Memory Verse Monday (week 9)

As Christmas draws closer I encourage you to really think about the true meaning of the season.  God loves his people so much, that he sent his son to die for our sins so that we may spend eternity with him in heaven!

When I was very young my mom had this plaque hanging in our foyer.  It was the verse, John 3:16 in the KJV, and that was the first Bible verse I memorized.  Now, nearly 20 years later, I still remember it and appreciate it’s message.

I chose John 3:16 for today’s post because, to me, it sums up Christianity in one neat sentence. And since Christmas is the time to celebrate the birth of Jesus, this verse seems pretty fitting.

John 3 16

I’m sure there are some of you reading this who already know the verse by heart.  Then I encourage you to really reflect on the meaning!  And if there are some reading this verse for the first time, and wanting to know more: I encourage you to drop me an e-mail and we can chat:)

Enjoy your week friends!
