plaid shirt, 4 ways

Lucky you! I wrote 2 posts today because I’m feeling generous :)  This post will show you 4 different ways to wear the same plaid shirt.  My shirt is blue, but these ideas would work with any colour plaid.  Let’s jump right in, shall we?

scarf: Self made plaid shirt: Old Navy dress: H&M tights: Sport Check (the tights are actually thermal leggings) boots: Soft Mocc

I’d consider the first 2 outfits pretty casual and appropriate for something like running errands or meeting my mom for some lunch and shopping.  I’d also wear either of those outfits out to dinner and a movie with David.

The next 2 outfits are more work appropriate.  I actually wore the last outfit to work at the library last weekend.  All of these outfits are comfortable, practical and look good (at least, I think so!!).

It seems like plaid is a trend that will be around forever and will always be in style.  For example, this is a picture of me from high school when I was 17…plaid was worn by everyone and it still is 7 years later.

Sometimes plaid has a lumberjack or hipster vibe to it, which is great if that is your thing.  Since I am neither of those, nor do I want to portray those particular styles, I wanted to show some different ways of wearing plaid.
These outfits didn’t require a lot of effort to assemble but wearing them makes me feel and look like I actually put some thought into what I was wearing.  Looking presentable is always a priority for me!

Now it’s your turn…tell me how you would wear plaid.  Better yet, link a picture of your outfit!
