rusty maxi skirt and my new sunglasses

Today I wanted to share a simple outfit that has been a favorite of mine all winter.  It’s easy to wear, allows for layers and looks put together for a casual setting.

I have a feeling this outfit will be repeated into spring.  The maxi skirt is pretty thin material, which means LAYERS for winter, but I think it could be worn bare legged in spring.  I love the sweater because it is a lightweight knit and the pattern is fun.   It was really windy when I took these photos, which is why my skirt looks like pants!

Can I talk about my sunglasses now?!?!  These babies were a huge splurge for me, but I used some money I got for Christmas to buy them back in January.  How I managed not to post them until now is beyond me!  I have been wanting some good quality cat eye style frames for years now but I couldn’t justify the price.  I actually bought these glasses because David was in the market for some new ones and there was a sale!  Never one to turn down a good sale, I was thrilled when David suggested I pick out a pair too.  I mean, buy one get one half off is too good to resist!!

Have I mentioned before that I’m sick of winter?  I mean, it’s Spring now but there is still a lot of snow and it’s very cold today!  I’m reeeeeally looking forward to styling this maxi skirt with a light top, maybe a floral blouse!
