Thankful Thursday

I’m sure most people would not think that Christmas is a time to be consciously thankful, but why wouldn’t it?  I firmly believe that my blessings in life have been made possible through my faith in, and relationship with, God!  If He had not sent his son to be born here on earth, where he would later take the blame for all the sins of humanity, I’m quite confident my life would be very different.

This Christmas season, let’s make an effort to give God thanks for all he has done!  Here is what I’m thankful for this week:

  1. A good ending to youth group for this year. Yesterday was the final youth group meeting of 2015 and we had a lot of fun snacking, colouring, joking around and just enjoying some good fellowship.
  2. Reasonable rates for my car battery replacement. My battery unexpectedly died last week and we decided to just replace it since it was old.  I had been anticipating a large bill, but it was a lot lower than I thought!
  3. The opportunity to be a vendor at a craft sale this weekend. I will be selling some of my knit goods at a Christmas craft fair, so I’m thankful for the chance to make a little extra money.

What are you thankful for this week?
