Thankful Thursday 3

Welcome to another Thankful Thursday.  Sometimes it can be hard to be thankful if we’re having a bad day/week. But I find that consciously choosing thankfulness  puts my small problems into perspective and makes them seem a little silly.

For example, I’ve been having terrible sleeps lately so I’m usually tired during the day and yesterday I was so tired I actually napped.  At first I thought “What a waste of time on my day off” but then I realized, I’m thankful for the opportunity to nap because it mean’s I’ll be better rested for the remainder of the day.

So this week I’m thankful for:

  1. Days off so I can rest
  2. Motivation to clean out and organize my closet room
  3. Staggered pay days; I got paid from the library on Tuesday, the grocery store paid me today and David gets paid tomorrow.

What are you thankful for this week?  Comment below or use the hashtag #OWHThankfulthursday on Twitter (be sure to follow me @OurWoodHomeblog).

  1. Yes, it is sometimes hard to be thankful even when you’re in a bad mood! I know I can struggle with that sometimes. I am thankful for so many things this week! My family, my friends, food on the table, clean drinking water, all the things we don’t always really think about, and can just take for granted. Wonderful post…it’s always nice to have a reminder to be thankful for what we have. Keep up the good work!
    Have a great day!
