As I type this, the wind is howling and the rain is coming down really hard. Honestly, it doesn’t feel much like spring today, or even this week. But, compared to a photo I took this time last year, we are doing alright!
We have no snow at all now! The mornings are still really cold and damp, but a fire in the wood stoves helps a lot. I know the weather will probably be cool and rainy for the next few weeks, but I’m hoping we get another hot and sunny summer!
Here are some of the outfits I wore this week.
I had Monday off for Easter and took advantage of that by doing some shopping. My hair has been going all kinds of crazy and I’m convinced it literally has a mind of it’s own! I used a couple well placed pins to keep my bangs off my face since they are still too short for tucking behind my ears.
I also wore a fun scarf and used my Essence flexi clip for some interest.
Later in the week David and I went to his parent’s cottage to get some fire wood they didn’t need. I didn’t do any of the actual labour, but I came along for the ride. Since the weather was still pretty cool, I wore one of my new scarves that doesn’t really match my sweater…but oh well!
For youth group I decided to wear my new denim jacket with a black maxi dress and colourful scarf. I admit, it felt weird wearing a jacket like a cardigan instead of taking it off when I enter a building. But it was surprisingly comfy and I think it looked okay.
I had a meeting at the library to wrap some things up, since my contract ended on Thursday, and this is what I wore. The library is very causal, with the other staff usually wearing jeans so my outfit was appropriate. When I made this maxi skirt a little while ago, I had planned to wear it with a bright tee shirt and a denim jacket. but since the weather was awful on this day, I had to go with plan B, which included two layers of long sleeves. Ah well, there’s always next time!
I’m starting to get a little bored with maxi skirts and am looking forward to busting out my knee length ones come warmer weather!
