weekly outfits (21)

This is my last post before leaving for France!  My mom and I are flying out on Sunday evening, and returning on June 23.  In my absence I’ve scheduled some posts so my blog won’t be inactive, and I’m hoping to share some pictures from ur trip once we return.

In the mean time, here are the outfits I wore this week.  Sadly, the weather has turned unseasonably cold but I believe it’s going to warm up this weekend.

On Sunday we FINALLY had rain, which we sorely needed.  For church I wore the most recent dress I made, which I’m pretty proud of!  Last week I shared a dress I made but this one is different because I actually tucked the raw edge of the sleeves and neckline to make it look more finished.  With the other dress I just did a zig zag stitch across the raw edges so it didn’t fray.  You might also notice my hair looks much different! I think this is the first time I’ve left it totally down in months!  Admittedly, it take some getting used to since I’ve always had some sort of bangs but I’m happy the curl is coming back!

As I said before, this week has been cold!  So cold that I had to bring out my leggings and start layering again.  I left my hair “natural” again, but it doesn’t look quite as nice thanks to the rain.

june 7Later this week I met up with a friend and then visited my mom to talk about some stuff for our trip.  I wore a similar version of this outfit last year which I didn’t realize until later.  Once again, I let my hair just do it’s own thing which sometimes works well, and other times looks like a mess!

I’m hoping the weather in France is nice and sunny, and that there are ample opportunities for great outfit photos!  Hopefully I can share some pictures on Facebook, so be sure to follow along there!

See you in a few weeks;)
