weekly outfits (33)

You know the routine: Friday equals outfit post here at Our Wood Home.  Normally I talk about the weather, how busy I am, etc…but not today. This is a short and sweet post!

Last Friday I wore this summery outfit, sine it was still warm out.  I know the “rules” say no white after labour day, but whatevs.  The top I’m wearing is one I made recently and I’m quite pleased with it.

At first I tried wearing the top untucked with a belt over it, but I realized tucking it in is just easier!  I still did a belt to keep it tucked in, since the skirt doesn’t have a a strong elastic.

On Saturday we went to a wedding, where David was a groomsman.  I wanted to wear something that was comfy, seasonally appropriate for an outdoor wedding, and sort of in between casual and dressy.  I’ve had this dress for many years, and I like wearing it during the fall because of the pretty colours. Normally I wear it with boots and tights, but I was bare legged for the wedding.

Sunday was church and a joint birthday party for my father in law and I (my birthday is September 12 and his is September 13).  I kept it casual in a stretchy denim skirt and fun blouse.  I’m holding a chicken because I can :)

On my birthday (Monday) I was determined to wear an actual sweater, so I did.  I mixed dark purple with leopard print for a combo that I LOVE, and grounded it with black.

Also this week I wore my fun floral dress  (see how I wore it last summer) and topped it with an olive green cardigan.  I tried out a new hair style with some success, so check out my Instagram feed for more hair pics.

That’s all for today…have a good weekend :)
