FINALLY another outfit post! I have been slacking because I was busy with the holidays, and the weather has been too chilly for outdoor pics. I finally decided to make due with the conditions, so here are three outfits I have worn recently.
I am still having trouble uploading certain pictures to my posts, so can you please let me know if any of them are sideways? Thanks:)
First up, this church outfit! I got this dress during a post-Christmas thrift shopping trip with my mom, and I really like it. The green is sort of a dark olive, and the material is a very soft and suede-like. The hem details are interesting, too. I paired this dress with a light brown sweater, black tights, and my trusty Blundstones. I had thought about wearing black knee high riding boots, but I kind of like the “quirky” feel of the boots.
I have been wearing three skirts most of the time: denim maxi, grey wool maxi, and the skirt I recently made. Admittedly, I was getting a little tired of the repetition, so I pulled out this light weight striped skirt, and added a patterned top for fun. I would not usually wear this skirt in winter because it is not thick enough for my comfort, but it worked fine for a day of housework.
This outfit felt kind of matronly, my friends in the Modest Young Women group did not think so. I was given this sweater as a Christmas gift and I absolutely adore it. It is big and chunky, without being sloppy, and the colour is perfect. I have been wearing it a lot since December, and am already planning outfits to wear with it next fall!
Yesterday I wore my grey maxi skirt, a grey top, and a red vintage cardigan. I feel like this is a fairly boring outfit, but it is sufficient for home. Even if I have no exciting plans for the day, I still want to dress nicely, and this is as comfy as PJs.
Before I end this post, I have a couple things to share with you:
- Did you know I sell knit goods in my Etsy shop and on Facebook? You can see the Etsy shop here, and the FB one here. The items are made by myself and my husband’s grandmother. I actually started knitting because of her!
- Recently I started a Facebook group called Encouragement for Christian Wives, and I am very excited about it! If you would like to join, here is the link.
- At the start of the year, my internet BFF Amanda revamped her blog and switched gears a bit. Now she is focussing on homemaking for real women, and I am privileged to be a part of it! If the name A Pinch of Faith sounds familiar, that’s because I have linked to almost all my posts there at some point on my blog. Amanda and I are putting our heads together and coming up with soooo many great posts, so I hope you head on over there and take a look around. If you’d like to view all the posts I wrote at A Pinch of Faith, click here.
That’s all for now! Have a great weekend.
