Today’s post is short and sweet with only two outfits to share. Do you ever have one of those weeks where you feel like living in leggings and comfy hoodies? That’s how my week went! I did manage to get in a couple presentable outfits though.
This first outfit is what I wore for a meeting at the library. Normally, I’d consider this outfit very casual but things are not ever really fancy in my town, so this was an appropriate outfit choice. There’s a lot going on here, but I think it works! I’m wearing two different patterns on my scarf and skirt but since they are both subtle, the look is cohesive.
I wore this outfit for a day of working at home. Since I set up my desk and new computer I’ve been feeling like I have a real job, which motivates me to get dressed properly. My outfit is simple and comfy but looks put together. I’ve been into graphic sweaters lately and this one is my favourite!
As winter draws to a close I’d like to take a bit of time to reflect on my fashion choices for the season. It’s my second year of wearing skirts almost exclusively (I think I wore pants twice) and I LOVE it. I’ve been far warmer in a skirt than I ever was in pants, since I can layer a lot better. I’ve been having fun coming up with new ways to layer, mixing pieces I didn’t think of before, playing with accessories, and more. At least once a week I declare that the outfit I’m wearing is my new favourite. Wearing skirts has challenged me to be more creative, while embracing my God-given femininity.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing more frequent outfits posts, even though the photos are nothing special. Hopefully, David can resume his duties as my outfit photographer come spring!
Before I sign off for the weekend, I want to invite you ladies to join my “Modest Young Women” Facebook group ( <—- there is the link). It’s for women in their 20s and 30s to gather and share their modest outfit photos, make new friends, and gain inspiration from REAL women. I’ve already met so many awesome ladies though the group so I hope you will join us!
