What’s new in my Etsy shop?

Another shameless plug for my Esty store!

I know Christmas is less than two weeks away, but I wanted to share some of my fave new pieces in my Etsy shop, in case anyone out there needs last minute gift ideas.  At the time of this post, I am offering rush shipping and tracking numbers for orders purchased before December 15.

All the items you see here ar made by me, my husband’s grandmother, and my mother in law.  Normally, my Etsy shop, Christina and Helena features items from just me and David’s grandma. But this year, my mother in law contributed the gorgeous earflap hats!

First item to share is this adorable child sized hat in red and white.  It reminds me of a candy cane, so I am calling it a Christmas hat!  This hat is listed at $12 CAD and is made from a wool-acrylic blend. I love how big the pompom is, and that the brim can be rolled up to fit a smaller child, and unrolled as they grow.

Next is this pint sized black and grey knit hat, similar in style to the one above.  It features a soft and fluffy pompom with a rollable brim.  The hat is knit from a wool blend, which results in a totally soft, non-itchy final product.  This hat is listed at $12CAD.

Here is one of the hats my mother in law, Lois, made.  I am seriously considering asking her to make me the exact same one!  It is made from 100% pure Icelandic wool, and is both warm and comfortable to wear.  It has a naturally fuzzy texture but no itchiness. This hat is sized to fit an older child or smaller adult. This earflap hat is listed at $27CAD.

Another Lois creation!  This hat is made of green, blue, white, and gold wool.  It is also from Iceland, and can be described exactly as I did before.  This one is bigger than the red hat, so it would fit an average sized adult. Like the other hat, this is listed at $27CAD.

Helena, David’s grandma, made this child sized mitten and hat set.  I HEART it!  The colour is so cheery, and I adore matching things for children.  The hat is knit in a cozy, well fitting pattern, and the mittens have a nice long cuff.  The mittens can be worn as shown in the photo, or with the cuff unrolled, which is my preference.  Another thing to love about this set is that it can handle washing!  This hat and mitten combo is for sale at $17CAD.

If you are looking for a gift for a baby girl, look no further!  I have several different styles of knit headbands in my shop that are perfect for babies. They are all made from soft yarns for maximum comfort, and have stretch so they will grow with baby. Each headband sells for $8CAD.

This two-toned purple headband is made to fit little girls.  It is thick and soft and warm, with a fuzzy bow. What’s not to love?!  All of the girl’s headbands are $10CAD.

Here is another headband for girls. This one is plaid purple with a white heart.  It is not as thick as the bow headband, but it is still warm and cozy.  It is also washable.  This is listed at $10CAD.

This fuzzy purple hat is adult sized, and has a fun pompom!  The brim is ribbed for a comfortable and snug fit.  I love how fuzzy this hat is!  It is listed at $17CAD.

This red and white striped hat is similar to the child sized hat listed earlier, but for adults. How cut would they be as a set for parent and child!? Knit from double strands of white and red yarn, it creates a self striping look. The brim on this hat can be rolled up or worn down.  This one is listed at $17CAD.

Do you have a hard time holding onto hot takeout drinks?  I do! They are always waaay too hot to handle! I knit these chunky cozies as a way to protect one’s hands as well as keep the drink insulated and hotter for longer.  This rainbow cozy with a wooden button is my fave. The wool blend is so chunky and soft, and the cozy fits snugly around most cups. All the cozies are $7CAD.
